2078: The Fall
Author: J Spencer
"What the hell? I can’t see. Those were my first thoughts when I woke up. I was seriously on the verge of panic! Come on James, CALM DOWN, I told myself. I wasn’t sure how but I managed it, and when I did, it all came flooding back. I was in a road culvert, a freakin’ culvert. WTF! How did my life get so screwed up? Oh yeah, greedy asshats in the government. Who’d a thunk? "
In 2078, the world didn’t end
Civilization just lost the fight.
Decades after a sweeping wildlife law spirals into disaster, North America is overrun by feral “Murdochs” and fractured regimes.
Outside the walls, seventeen-year-old James McKinney and his fiercely capable family fight to stay alive on the move through ambushes, ruined towns, and mountains crawling with threats both human and not-quite-human. Every step brings them closer to answers… and to enemies far more organized than the monsters stalking the woods.
Fast-paced, darkly funny, and packed with grit, 2078: The Fall is a post-collapse survival tale where loyalty is everything, danger is constant, and even the smallest decision can change the fate of a family - if not the whole damned continent.

J Spencer is a wildland firefighter, forest manager, farm hand, and volunteer firefighter with a writing habit. As a young reader, J was a fan of Louis L’Amour and John McDonald novels, but his dreams of writing always seemed far from his reach. That changed with inspiration from Craig Alanson, which led to the creation of this novel.
The journey to becoming an author opened a doorway to another world. A world that he had only scratched the surface of as an avid reader.
After self-publishing 9 titles, J has agreed to join SthenoType and re-release his 2078 series in updated special editions.
“My goal is to write fun books that are easy to read and escape the headaches of daily life. In other words, I’m trying to write the same type of books I enjoy reading. I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them! All I really want is to tell a good story.
Thank you for reading my story!” J. Spencer
