J Spencer is a wildland firefighter, forest manager, farm hand, and volunteer firefighter with a writing habit. As a young reader, J was a fan of Louis L’Amour and John McDonald novels, but his dreams of writing always seemed far from his reach. That changed with inspiration from Craig Alanson, which led to the creation of this novel.

The journey to becoming an author opened a doorway to another world. A world that he had only scratched the surface of as an avid reader.

After self-publishing 9 titles, J has agreed to join SthenoType and re-release his 2078 series in updated special editions.
